Listen to your wife...

My wife has been after me to clean the garage for a year. In all honesty, it has become quite a mess. Not dirty, just cluttered.

Ever find something you forgot you even owned?

What is in the two really heavy boxes under the work bench...the one with the bag on top?????

Holy wack, batman!!!!! 2 cases of 7.62 x 39 and a half dozen 30 round mags!!!

:565::565::565::565::565:

Picked them up at a gun show a couple of years ago. Forgot all about them.

My garage cleaning is now more of a treasure hunt... :10_1_20:

You forgot you had 2 cases of ammo? That would be like forgetting you had 2 children. Nice find though.

The kids are much too noisy to forget. The ammo, however, just sits there nice and quiet...bancha

How much did you pick those cases up for? $75/thou?

If I remember right it was around $100 each, but I honestly don't know for sure.

Heck, I forgot I even had it, and you want to know how much I paid for it? I can't even remember what I had for breakfast!

I usually put stuff in the garage I don't want my wife to know about, at least until a time she's not home so I can move it in the house. Then if she ever discovers it and asks when I got that, I can always say, "I've had that for I while, weren't you with me when I bought it?"

I really like the "Oh, I got that back when.... Don't you remember?" routine. I think she's catching on though, but cutting me some slack because she understands the Obama implications.

Now that there's too many new boxes to exercise plausible deniability, I have to be more creative now. Like when my Stag AR-15 kit showed up and I got the "What is that?" question. I just said, "parts."

Hey, I wasn't lying!

Re: Listen to your wife...

I found some AK mags one time, odd since I no longer owned an AK...find FAL mags all over the house too as we remodeled a year or so back and everything got moved aorund.

Lars, interesting about your wife and Obama,I showed my wife a pic of someones collection of Galil rifles and said we needed something like that(very impressive, like over a dozen or so all lined up on their deck)...a few mintues later she was asking how much that would cost.

She has become much more 'aware' of the implications of Obama being in power.

Just recently, as a matter of fact. I found a case of Portuguese .308 (I didn't even remember owning that stuff!), the 20 round AK mags that I'd been looking for, and some other goodies. Treasure hunt!
